Special Characters in Passwords

Desription

You have installed Otto successfully and are able to connect to the web console over port 3030, but the admin console credentials do not work to login and access the web console or while configuring a new server throught the migrator file. In some cases the presence of the special characters, " and/or $ in the FileMaker Server admin account password, can cause issues while attempting to login.

Status

This issues is not yet fixed in the current version of Otto. We are working on a fix but don't have a release date yet.

Workaround

If the special characters " and/or $ is present in the password, escape the characters while entering the password with a backslash \ character, e.g. \" or \$.
